The Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Makan Esbulatov on admission of documents to the Doctoral studies degree programme of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education for the year 2024

The rules of admission to the Doctoral studies degree programme of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Esbulatov regulated by the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan № 24 from 13 January 2016 “On approval of the Rules of admission to special educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, implementing educational programmes of postgraduate education”.

Employees, servicemen of internal affairs bodies who have graduated from a scientific and pedagogical master’s degree (graduates of a profile master’s degree if they have a certificate of mastering an educational programme of pedagogical profile) and have a “Master of National Security and Military Affairs” degree in the educational programme “7M12301, 7M12302 – Law Enforcement”, “Master of Legal Sciences”, practical work experience in law enforcement agencies or scientific and pedagogical experience are admitted to the doctoral programme of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education.

Admission to the doctoral programme of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education is carried out on a competitive basis based on the results of entrance examinations. The retake of entrance examinations is not allowed. The normative term of study is three years. The form of study is full-time.

Candidates to study in the doctoral programme of the Faculty of Postgraduate Education should submit a report to their supervisor (Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, head of the Department of Internal Affairs, Department of Internal Affairs, Department of Transport, Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, educational institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs). In order to select candidates for doctoral studies at the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, a selection committee is established at the place of service, which takes a decision on sending the candidate to doctoral studies.

For candidates for doctoral studies at the Faculty of Postgraduate Education, personnel services send the following documents to the Almaty Academy:

For candidates it is necessary to have:

1) personal file (after enrolment to study);

2) study file, which contains:

-report of the candidate for training in any form;

-service characterisation and attestation sheet for the last period of service;

-copy of the protocol of the selection commission on the direction to study;

-personal personnel record sheet;

-copy of an identity document;

-copy of the document on education;

-Six photographs of 3×4 centimetres in size;

-justification of the planned dissertation research, agreed with the intended -domestic or foreign scientific adviser;

-copy of a certificate of passing foreign language tests (if any)

-a list of scientific and scientific-methodical works (if any).

Entrance examinations:

1) In a foreign language (English, German, French at choice).

2) On the profile of the group of educational programmes for those entering the Doctoral studies programme (in Almaty Academy) are conducted in the volume of educational programmes of the previous level of education in oral form.

Foreign language entrance examinations are conducted by the National Testing Centre of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the points of conducting foreign language entrance examinations determined by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Candidates with at least 30 points in foreign language shall be admitted to the examination on the profile of the group of educational programmes.

3) Interview.

It is not allowed to retake the entrance examinations.
